부산시, '2024년 클래식 파크콘서트' 개최

Busan City has announced that the "2024 Classical Park Concert" will be held on June 1 and 2 at 7 PM at the Hae-yaria Lawn Square in Busan Citizens Park.

This concert is organized to promote the "Busan Concert Hall," scheduled to open in 2025, and the recently resumed construction of the "Busan Opera House," while also expanding the reach of classical music in everyday life.

Last year's event received rave reviews from attendees and through social media (SNS), and it is planned to continue as a major content of the 'Bucon Classic Festival (tentative name)' even after the opening of the Busan Concert Hall.

On the first day, the KBS Symphony Orchestra and cellist Han Jae-min will perform together. Han Jae-min, selected as a 'Rising Star' by Deutsche Grammophon (DG), will perform Tchaikovsky's "Variations on a Rococo Theme Op. 33" and Brahms' "Symphony No. 4 in E minor, Op. 98" under the baton of Myung-whun Chung. The event will be hosted by Kim Ji-hyun from Busan Traffic Broadcasting, who is well-known to Busan citizens.

On the second day, June 2, the Busan Philharmonic Orchestra and renowned opera singers active on the global stage will present highlights from Verdi's opera "La Traviata." The performance will feature soprano Kim Sun-young, tenor Choi Won-hui, and baritone Yang Jun-mo, along with the Mega City Choir. Actor Kim Seok-hoon will host the event.

The concert is open to all citizens on a first-come, first-served basis, and in case of rain, it will be held at the BEXCO Auditorium.

Shim Jae-min, Director of the City’s Culture and Sports Bureau, said, “Our city is preparing a variety of cultural performances with excellent content and world-class artists that we couldn’t host before due to the lack of facilities for the citizens of Busan.” He added, “We ask for your interest and participation in this large-scale outdoor classical music concert featuring globally beloved symphonies and operas.” He also urged, “Since heavy traffic is expected on the event day, please use public transportation if possible.”

This event, which allows people to enjoy classical music easily and pleasantly in harmony with nature, is expected to become a representative classical performance content of Busan in the future.

이번 콘서트는 2025년 개관 예정인 '부산콘서트홀'과 최근 건립 공사를 재개한 '부산오페라하우스'의 홍보를 겸해 시민의 일상에 스며드는 클래식 저변 확대를 위해 마련됐다.

이번 행사는 지난해 현장 참여 관객들과 사회관계망서비스(SNS) 등을 통해 호평을 받았으며, 부산콘서트홀 개관 이후에도 ‘부콘클래식페스티벌(안)’의 주요 공연 콘텐츠로 지속될 예정이다. 

1일 차에는 KBS교향악단과 첼리스트 한재민이 협연한다. 한재민은 도이치 그라모폰(DG)의 '라이징 스타'로 선정된 바 있으며, 정명훈의 지휘 아래 차이콥스키의 ‘로코코 주제에 의한 변주곡 Op. 33’과 브람스의 ‘교향곡 제4번 마단조 Op. 98’을 연주할 예정이다. 진행자로는 부산시민들에게 친근한 부산교통방송 김지현 씨가 함께할 예정이다.

6월2일인 2일 차에는 부산시립교향악단과 세계 오페라 무대에서 활약 중인 성악가들이 참여한 오페라 '라트라비아타' 하이라이트 공연이 펼쳐진다. 베르디 오페라 ‘라트라비아타’ 공연에는 소프라노 김순영, 테너 최원휘, 바리톤 양준모가 출연하며, 메가시티콰이어와 배우 김석훈이 사회를 맡는다.

이번 공연은 시민 누구나 자유롭게 참여할 수 있으며, 비가 올 경우 벡스코 오디토리움에서 진행된다. 

심재민 시 문화체육국장은 “우리시는 부산시민을 위한 공연시설 건립으로 그간 유치하지 못한 좋은 콘텐츠의 공연과 세계적인 예술인들이 함께하는 다채로운 문화 공연 등을 준비하고 있다”라며, “세계적으로 사랑받는 교향곡과 오페라 공연이 펼쳐지는 이번 대규모 야외 클래식 음악회에 시민 여러분의 많은 관심과 참여를 부탁드린다”라고 전했다. 아울러, “행사 당일 주차 혼잡이 예상되는 만큼 가급적 대중교통 이용을 부탁드린다”라고 당부했다.
